A key enabler to the growth and success of the local battery ecosystem is education and training of its growing workforce.

Would you like to explore topics ranging from the basics of battery technology and manufacturing to overviews of market dynamics and policy considerations. Do you want hands-on opportunities to conduct research and market analysis with local firms on the cutting-edge of the battery industry?

CalCharge, with its Partner Member, San Jose State University, launched a first-of-its-kind MS Degree program that seeks to expand the skilled workforce needed by this rapidly growing and changing industry.

The program is intended for professionals with an interest in battery technology and for students pursuing a masters degree. Students are offered a series of graduate level courses that can be taken as individual courses through an open university model, or as a whole to earn a Masters of Science in Engineering with an emphasis in Battery Technologies.

Applications are being accepted for Fall 2018.
